Happy Independence Day Haiti
Today is a special day. I'm not talking about the first day of the year. What we're celebrating today is Haiti's independence.

Before writing this article, I took a look at the news websites in Martinique and Guadeloupe. I don't know them all, but it seems to me that the best known are "Martinique la 1ère", "France Antilles", "Guadeloupe la 1ère" and "RCI".
I haven't seen anything about Haiti and its 220 years of independence.
It's as if Haiti didn't count, as if Haiti wasn't part of the Antilles.
I'm not surprised. Martinique and Guadeloupe are still colonies, so perhaps journalists feel closer to Paris than Port-au-Prince.
Attached is a short book to remind us of Haiti's greatness.
